This film was a Victor of 5 Belgian Plateau Prizes, the film characteristics momentous behaviors by 2 legendary Belgian actresses and marks the characteristic debut of cowriter and director Debrauwer. The Little Shop of Horrors: Classic black comedy in reference to youthful schnook who creates bloodthirsty plant and is made to kill in request to fuel it with human blood. Originally notorious as the film was shot In 2 Nights, however now thought to be one of Corman’s best films. Nicholson has comical tad as masochist who flourishes on dental suffering; Cast includes Jonathan Cloud, Jackie Joseph, Mel Welles, Dick Miller, Myrtle Vail, and Jack Nicholson. (70 minutes, 1960)

The Front Page: Third filming of the Hecht-MacArthur play about crazy and woolly Chicago newspaperman in the 1920s has barely anything new to offer (with the exception of 4-letter words) although continues to be an entertaining piece of work. Cast includes Jack Lenunon, Walter Matthau, Carol Burnett, Susan Sarandon, Vincent Gardenia, David Wayne, Allen Garfield, Austin Pendleton, and Charles Duming. (105 minutes, 1974)

Macabre: Strange goings on in small town where physician’s youthful daughter mysteriously disappears and a nameless telephone caller declares that the kid has been buried alive. Cast includes William Prince, Jim Backus, Christine White, and Jacqueline Scott. (73 minutes, 1958)

Belle of the 90′s: Mae struts, harmonizes ‘My Old Flame,” and heats up a gallery of admirers in entertaining illustration of Western humor. Cast includes Mae West, Roger Pryor, Johnny Mack Brown, Warren Hymer, and Duke Ellington Orchestra. (73 minutes, 1934)

Single Handed: Pitiful female, two times impregnated and three times divorced plans to become prostitute. Mansfield’s last film was not seen in theaters until after her death. Cast includes Jayne Mansfield, Dorothy Keller, Fabian Dean, Billy M. Greene, Martin Horsey, and Walter Gregg. (93 minutes, 1968)

Chicago Ten: Exclusive documentary approach to the tumultuous occurrences of 1968 while drastic groups accrued in Chicago to dispute the status quo, and the battle in Vietnam, throughout the Democratic Nationwide Convention balanced with excited renderings of the trial and its trouble makers (taken verbatim from court transcripts), which became the show of the ridiculous. Without narration, talking head interviews, period music, or considerably situational material, this narrowly concentrated film grants a spiritual, compassionate, and instant portrait of a pivotal occurrence in American history.
