Turn off all those services that you don’t need. First type services.msc into Run. With most of your services if you don’t know you need it then it is fine to disable it, and if you find out that you did need it after all you can always turn it back on. Also clean out your registry. Type regedit into Run and go from there. You can clean it up manually if you want to but I recommend installing a registry cleaner that will do it for you.

- run Disk Cleanup – from the System Tools section of Accessories
- Open My Computer, then Right Click on your C drive and pick PROPERTIES. Pick the Tools section and click on CHECK NOW. Check both tests, and YES, let it run after you restart. You see, CHECK DISK will ensure that your hard drive is working completely. This test might take an hour or so.

Do all of this regularly, and your computer will run better.
Good luck and Happy Computing!
