No. Many of the technologies are very dangerous. Take guns for instance, or TV.
Previous generations had many dangers but since people were more helpful than they are now the dangers were less with many pairs of eyes watching.
Now people do not help each other and so one pair of eyes cannot watch all over for the prevention of accidents.
The dangers of childhood disease is much less due to the vacinations that babies are given and we do have antibiotics which were not available before.
Because of the over use of medicines some are not doing the job they are expected to do and therefore you do get sicker than you should.
I believe there are just as many dangers as there were before just differnt kinds of dangers.
We also have many new things like net stalkers, now too. I would say it is more dangerous to live now than yesterday
Plumbing and I mean sanitation has done more to expand our lives more than anything along with soap. Medical advances have extended our lives even more. However in days of old a catapult was a weapon of Mass Destruction. Now we have a much smaller world with technology. It brings to so many marvels because without even leaving our home we can see the entire world. In many ways technology has so advanced us but also made us more distant from our fellow man. Even that fact that you can kill thousands or millions from far distances has made the ugliness and horrors of war impersonal. What entertains us also is our only tie to the Joys and horrors of the world. Television and now the Internet as well. We are exposed to different and more powerful forces than ever before. Some for the betterment and some for the detriment of mankind { and us women to } Good Luck
