Fantastic Invasion of The Planet Earth: Discharged theatrically in 3-D, this movie was pretty much a disaster. A young couple finds themselves caught in a deserted town encircled in a mammoth bubble. The original title, The Bubble, was far less deceiving: there are no foreigners and no “invasion” in fact, and not much enthusiasm, either. Cast includes Filmed in widescreen Space-Vision. Passenger 57: Mastermind terrorist Charles Rane has hijacked flight 163. When they terrorist make their move, passenger 57, security expert John Cutter, is in the bathroom. When he comes out, he sees the situation, remains unseen, and plots to save the flight, and it’s passengers.

Across the Universe: A young English boy comes to the US to find his father. On his search he finds, and falls in love with an American girl. Set in post Vietnam War US, this movie is really a vehicle to play a lot of Beatles music. Cast includes Julie Taymor. Evan Rachel Wood. Jim Sturgess, Joe Anderson, Dana Fuchs, Martin Luther McCoy. T. V. Carpio, Spencer Litf, Lisa Hogg, Bill Irwin, James Urbaniak, Dylan Baker, Joe Cocker, Bono, Salma Hayek, and Eddie Izzard all make appearances. (2007 Romance)

The Sea Gypsies: Fine family venture has Logan cruising round the globe with his young family. Becoming shipwrecked in Alaska becomes the ultimate adventure. Cast includes Robert Logan, Heather Rattray, Mikki Jamison-Olsen, Shannon Saylor, and Damitri Patterson. (101 minutes, 1978)

Factory Girl: Dismal, true tale of 1960s socialite Edie Sedgwick Miller and her self-damaging down turn into depravity and drug dependency after becoming one of Andy Warhol’s underground-film “megastars.” Christensen plays a renowned musician who looks, acts, and sounds suspiciously like Bob Dylan, with whom she has a stormy event. Cast includes Sienna Miller, Gentleman Pearce, Hayden Christensen, Jimmy Fallon, Jack Huston, and Shawn Hatosy. (90 minutes, 2006)
