This new plasma TV provides the excellent image quality we have come to expect from Panasonic. The Panasonic TX-P42V10 has a Full-HD Neo Plasma Display Panel (PDP) which provides superb contrast and colors. Below, we are going to give you some highlights on this wonderful television, so if you need a new tv, keep reading…
In common with many TVs, with their in-built speakers, the sound quality does not reach cinema standards, but this can easily be fixed by connecting external speakers. The sound quality is actually well above average for this sized TV though, with no distortion and no buzz when the volume is high, so this is only a minor disappointment.
The superb image quality is largely a result of the NeoPDP panel, which provides a deep velvety black, an impressive contrast ratio of two million to one, and a shade gradation of over 6000. The set has a full HD 1,920 x 1,080 resolution as with other Panasonic 42 inch plasma screens, unlike those from other manufacturers.
Watching sport or action films without blur is crucial, and with the combination of 600Hz Intelligent Frame Creation, and Panasonic’s own image analysis technology, fast moving pictures are sharp and clear. Of course this, combined with the minimal time delay, and the excellent preset Games Mode, will make gamers happy too.
There are a wealth of features included in this model, and they are all easily controlled by Viera Tools, a simple user interface accessible from your remote control. With this, you can access the internet, thanks to the integrated ethernet connection, using Viera Cast, which provides news, financial reports and weather. Or you could go to Picaso and display digital images, or even play videos straight from YouTube and Eurosports. DNLA allows you to access any computer on your home network and stream it to your TV.
For anyone with environmental concerns, this is also the ideal product. Panasonic has lead the way by eliminating lead and mercury from their TVs, and the NeoPDP panel requires less energy than previous models, but provides just as much brightness. Eco-Mode automatically adjusts the brightness depending on the surrounding levels too, all without affecting the quality of the image.
The lifetime of the product is around 100,000 hours, and that’s a lot of movies and gaming! The Eco-Link feature means that when you are not using connected devices, they will also be powered down. This leads to an impressive power consumption of only 0. 4W when in standby.
With all these things going for it, the Panasonic TX-P42V10 is certainly one of the best products around, so why not find out for yourself?
