W12 Concept Vehicle: The First Vw Pure Blooded Race Car

The VW W12 used to be a concept vehicle for several years until it reached full production in 2004. It is the ultimate race car from the VW Company itself which was unveiled during the 35th Motor Show in Tokyo. The car has a maximum speed of 350km/h and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3. 5 seconds. The Volkswagen is a lightweight sports car at 1200 kg. To power it, the W12 has a mid-mounted six liter 12 cylinder engine that produces 600 horsepower at only 7000 rpm. To prove that the given maximum speed and power of VW W12 are all accurate, a prototype was brought to a very famous race track in Nardo, Italy. Awesomely, it had set a world record for mileage achieved in 24 hours.
