is the hv30, does it have a standard size hot shoe???, cause it might be my futur cam i got a gl1, i might switch to hd but build a rig, does it have 3ccd, cause then ill defenatly get it
Im totally new to this stuff so don’t attack me, but how much more effective does a rig really make the camera look? Also what exactly is ususally used in a rig. I am good with camera solo and attachments such as filters and lenses but i don’t really know much about rigs. Thanks
lol’z i love this video idk why, i just love looking at rigs
People always want to throw money into everything but the Tripod. The Tripod is one if not THE most important pieces of gear. Minimum $1,200 for an entry level one with a good head.
First, ask yourself IF you need to BUY, or if you can RENT. Renting only when you need a camera can make more sense when starting out.
Second, know what your goal is for the camera before you go out and blow money on “cool looking” stuff.
Remember, Cameras, Cranes, NLES, etc are JUST TOOLS to accomplish a job
@rubent100 LMAO! You have a RED and don’t know where to get Pistol Grips?
Oh man, Amateurs make me sick.

I wish I could see the quality. Good job.

ya know if ya throw on a hat you would totally look like Kevin Smith

@NextWaveG Tony, for people like me, you rambling on about the different equipment you use is a blessing. You’re my idol. Lol.
Just buy a video camera
awesome rig dude!
how much did it cost all together?
Always really informative thanks!
Awesome video. Thanks for making it.
too much words
you look like Orson Welles! hey thanks for the information!
This is precisely while I got the Sony HVR-HD1000U, so that I can rest the camera on the shoulder and use a big ring on the lens, instead of the small handheld camcorder ring, to adjust exposure, focust, etc. The HV30 might offer better image quality than the HD1000U, but the you don’t need to attach anything to the HD1000U to have similar rig. In addition you have two hot shoes on the HD1000U to attache wireless receiver, camera light, etc.
wow that hv30 looks like a prosumer grade camera with that rig on
I just ordered the Cavision shoulder mount. Do you like it?
sorry if you have answered this in the past I’m a lil lazy. What lenses are you using . I am really green so ….
What’s that camera stabilizer you had? It went around your back, with a monopod. Can’t seem to find anything like it on Google, or ebay. Not sure how to describe it. Thanks.
any way you could give me a detailed list of what your showing. That would be really great. Looks wicked. I have a hv30 and am dying to have that rig. Thanks man. Going to subscribe right now.
You call this prosumer? This is beyond prosumer, this look’s like a 35mm camera.
Not even close to the same camera because of the differenet encodings which dramaticly affects the quality and “style” of video that the HV20/30/40 are known for. The HV series use HDV encoding while the HF series use AVCHD which is getting closer to the quality of HDV but lacks the “style” that Pro film makers love so much. (this however has nothing to do with the rig, its just basic camera info) You can “rig” any camera but some like the HV40 are prone for this for film making.
