Question by KLynn: Where is a good place to buy a refurbished DSLR camera body?
Does anyone know of a good place to buy a use DSLR camera body (I would prefer to have new lenses). Have you boughten there and what was your experience? I was looking at Adorama…does anyone have any experience with them? Thanks!

I would call Nikon 800.NIKON-UX and 800.OK-CANON and ask them for the authorized distributors for their refurbished cameras

I have dealt with Adorama on several occasions over the years and have received excellent service and received exactly what was ordered.
Another great used/refurbished dealer is KEH out of Georgia. Find them at keh.com . I have bought and sold through them and they are very reputable.
I have also had luck on eBay, just make sure you are getting everything you want and know with whom you are dealing. Many reputable camera shops and national dealers list their items there.

I’ve bought the great majority of my cameras from Cameta on ebay. A few things weren’t in stock when they had them listed, so call before you put your order down.
It messed me up one time, 80-400 lens was listed as refurbished, in stock. Ordered, paid, and got e-mail that it wasn’t in stock. Couldn’t order another lens, because I had already used my credit card with pay pal.
Now, I call every time before I pay with pay pal.
