@onelittlebigthing Not really any differences with quality. I would say the S1600 would be a slight better (not noticeable at all really) due to it having a short zoom. Typically, more zoom = less sharp.
Is there difference between s1600 and s1800 on the picture quality?
@fujiguys In that case, you need to increase the ISO or senstivity of the camera (of course if you go too high, more noise will be associated with the image). The other option is to shoot the trains when it is a bright sunny day. More light, means the ability to shoot at faster shutterspeeds. Hope this helps. I would shoot in manual mode, open up the aperture, shoot at wide-angle, and adjust the shutterspeed/iso according to lighting conditions. Hope this helps.
@MwTrainMoviesHD When manually setting the shutterspeed on the camera, you will notice a exposure bar on the bottom right of the LCD screen. As you adjust the shutterspeed, the bar moves left or right. You normally want to have the bar in the middle (which means the shot will be properly exposured, based on the metering settings of course). If you increase the shutterspeed and see the bar move past the middle, your images may be too dark or too bright.
I need help, i do trainspotting and i need a fast shutter speed but when i set it fast it goes dark so i need to change the aperture, do you no a good setting for this which will produce high quality pictures
@fujiguys ok, thanks for the help. that’s good i can disable the sound
@righter007 Both cameras are great. Thanks
@LunaExoriens No. Image quality should be similar.
@reowwr987 Yes, you have full manual control which will allow you to adjust aperture, shutterspeed and also adjust exposure compensation values.
@Ghazanfar69 Yes. You have full manual control include aperature.
@KarenMaravilla Congrats on your purchase.
@phoebe969 Yes you can disable the noise. Check the “Setup” menu to adjust noise levels for camera operation. In situations in which camera sounds or lights may be unwelcome, hold the DISP/BACK button down until you see a “heart symbol”. This is a quick way to turning off all sound and light. Holding the DISP/BACk button again will disable this “Silent Mode”
@mrcritic1 Glad we can help
These guys make you want to go out & just buy one.
Its worked, i’m buying one.
@phoebe969 youre welcome
@LinnieLuMinous thanks very much for the help, that’s good it can be turned off
@phoebe969 the beeps can be switched off i found it very annoying just go to set up and turn down (or off) operation volume and shutter volume
just wondering if the beeps heard when you press the buttons can be switched off? i can understand if that isn’t possible, i just find that an annoying feature especailly when taking photos of shy wildlife.
also, can several modes be used at once in manual? like, could i set it to smile detection and blink mode at the same time?
thanks for the help
I just bought it today =)
Could you adjust the aperture settings on this camera?
can you adjust the light exposure with this camera?
