This WoW warlock guide will illustrate to you the general advantages of choosing to play a warlock. The warlock class focuses primarily on damage over time spells, shadow bolts, and conjuring demons. They are master necromancers that deal in anguish and torment. Though warlocks are unable to go head to head in a melee fight, they easily compensate for it by hurling high damage spells from a safe distance.

Exclusive to the warlock class are soul shards, which are consumed by certain spells and must be obtained from defeated mobs. The warlock class is a breeze to level up quickly since they are incredibly self sufficient when soloing. They’re oftentimes among the biggest damage dealing classes when grouped.

Allowable races for warlocks are Blood Elves, Gnomes, Humans, Orcs, and Undead. Due to the fact that warlocks are classified as a caster class, they’re allowed only to don cloth armor. Weapon-wise, they’re limited to just using daggers, staves, swords and wands.

The most well known ability of a warlock is demon summoning (Voidwalker, Succubus, Infernal, Imp, Felhunter, Felguard, and Doomguard). Every minion has their place with both benefits and drawbacks.

Warlocks possess a wide array of spells at their command including damage over time spells, direct damage spells, and several utility spells. They can use soul shards in order to produce a variety of items and to resurrect other players. They also possess some limited self healing power via drain life, and great crowd control abilities too. Warlocks can also get mounts at a much lower price than most other classes because they are quest rewards summoned via spells, not purchased directly.

The Affliction talent specialization applies to curses, damage over time spells, and drains. When raiding or farming, this is a great talent spec for a warlock. Affliction is the spec to take when you’re trying to power-level a warlock as fast as you can.

Demonology talents are intended to make summoned demons more powerful and more useful, in addition to enhancing conjuring spells and giving you other passive bonuses. This is a great spec for survivability, PvP and leveling. This talent tree can be utilized at early levels to make up for the absence of good spell damage equipment.

The Destruction talent tree uses talents that increase the effectiveness of a warlock’s fire and shadow spells, which are mostly direct damage spells used to quickly kill 1 mob. This specialization isn’t as popular as the other specs at the early levels. It requires lots of soul shards, isn’t mana efficient, and it is difficult to use for people who wish to play solo.
