The HTC Inspire is a tremendous new phone with a 4.3-inch S-LCD display and a hardware configuration that really puts the emphasis on multimedia. HTC also focuses on multimedia in terms of their accessories, so you have a lot more options than just your basic case and screen protector. One of the most common questions among HTC Inspire owners concerns how to stream music from their smart phone while in their car, and how they can listen to that stream.

Most new automobiles come with Bluetooth-capable audio systems. This is the most convenient way to stream music because the user does not need to purchase anything new to be able to do so. If your car’s audio system supports Bluetooth, you’ll actually see it listed in your phone’s Bluetooth menu. All you need to do is tap it once to select it and then tap it once more to confirm. Once this has been done, all audio that is played by your phone will be picked up by your car’s speakers.

If your car does not have a Bluetooth capable system then you are going to require an adapter. Some of the adapters that you may end up using are a USB adapter or a AUX jack adapter. These adapters will pick up the stream and will then transfer the files to the system’s speakers. These accessories work very similar to how car docking stations work in order to be able to transfer audio to the car speakers and radio. Bluetooth-capable radio systems, whether built-in or by adapter, can also take advantage of music streaming services, including Internet radio, which makes the whole experience that much more convenient and perhaps cheaper since you don’t actually have to supply the music.

Another option that many users opt to use is a Bluetooth headset or earpiece. Basic Bluetooth headsets are common in cars because most states require them by law for in-car use of cell phones. Standard Bluetooth headsets however, only have enough bandwidth for basic conversations. The new Bluetooth headsets, on the other hand, take advantage of advanced profiles, such as A2DP, to carry 2-channel stereo. Some people say that music listened through Bluetooth devices loose quality and this can be true with some devices but it is more related to the type of Bluetooth headset used.

A Bluetooth headset may not be an option for everyone. Some people find them distracting while driving. For them, Bluetooth speakers provide an alternative. Bluetooth speakers work similarly to a headset except that you mount them in the car, and they behave like a car speaker. It’s a convenient way to listen to music in your home without carrying the phone around, and it’s particularly useful for college students who may not have room for a full-blown stereo system.
